The first carpet collection by designer Olaf Kitzig comprises a multifaceted selection of geometric and organic motifs and many colour variations. With their expressive charisma, sculptural dimensionality and professional production, each one is a masterpiece.

PLISSÉ

The pleats of the relief rise and fall almost imperceptibly like a striped skirt. The colour gradients change from pale to intense. A mélange of geometric rigour and soft shades.

SPIROGRAPH

Fascinating patterns can be created using uniform circular movements with different radii. Spirograph uses this technique and is particularly impressive with its strong colour compositions and fine-line relief.

We are surrounded by and part of a wide variety of networks: social, professional and private connections that can influence, support, strengthen or restrict us. A question of perspective, which also affects the colour effect of the carpet depending on the incidence of light.

CLOSE

The appeal of "Close" lies in its play with dimensions. The linear design reinforces the enormous effect of length. In addition, the height increases with each colour stripe towards the centre.

ASSIMILATE

In the "Assimilate" series, motifs and areas of colour begin to flow: from top to bottom, from bottom to top. Horizontal and vertical lines dissolve. The wide frame captures them and seems to prevent them from flowing further.

CHAINS

Memories fade over time. They become blurred, evaporate. They hide in the blur, merge with other thoughts. This makes it all the more important to savour the beautiful moments and absorb them with all your senses. "Chains" shows the image of a memory. The chains, emphasised by indentations, are an attempt to protect it, but it becomes increasingly blurred.

MICROSCOPY

Nature creates incredible works of art that fascinate and captivate us with their beauty and delicacy. The inspiration for "Microscopy" is the cross-section of a plant stem. The strong depth effect makes the individual organic forms appear very three-dimensional.
